I fitted a SKY HD+ box to a Panasonic VIERA TV set via an HDMI cable but the sound keeps cutting out. Any idea what might be causing this?
Unplug and reconnect everything to eliminate any connection problems then assuming there's nothing obviously wrong with the cabled connections to your satellite dish and there's no interference from weather or other objects impairing your reception I would contact Sky for further assistance. If you have a reliable video picture this suggests there's nothing wrong with your HDMI connection.

I have a Samsung LCD digital TV, a Humax digital Freeview recorder and a DVD player connected up together. We have just moved it from our old house to our new house and now the TV won't work. It worked in the morning in our old house and in the afternoon didn't work in our new house. The only thing that it will do is to play DVDs. But we cannot get any TV channels on it. It is just a blank screen. None of the equipment is damaged or broken and all of it switches on. It is as though something is wrong and we don't know what?
All you should need to do is retune your TV for your new location assuming there's nothing wrong with your aerial.
This should be as simple as entering your TV's set up menus and performing a rescan or retune. All that's probably happened is you've moved to an area receiving the Freeview signal from another transmitter or the aerial at your new home is aimed at a different transmitter to the one at your old home.

We have a Samsung 1080p TV and bought the Samsung Feeview+ recorder (BD-D8500). Our TV receives all of the Freeview channels perfectly but the Freeview recorder only gets about half. (It doesn't get ITV, BBC or Channel 4 etc not to mention the HD ones!). The aerial is plugged directly into the Freeview recorder. It is the only TV setup in our house. Why is the Freeview recorder not finding all of the channels when the TV does?
I would confirm if the strength of the Freeview signal from your aerial is the problem by connecting your recorder to your aerial alone so gets the full signal from your aerial. If that helps you should look in to adjusting your aerial to improve it's reception, replacing old cabling or finally adding a masthead amplifier or getting a newer aerial.

Before the advent of Digital TV, I could check programmers for a week ahead. Now that does not seem possible
Now when I try to view programme information, I frequently get a message "No information" relating to all channels or when it does work, only information on the current and following programme is presented - with no information on time schedules.
The Freeview EPG provides detailed information for the next 7 days of programing, if you're using an older Freeview receiver it may only have been designed when only limited now & next EPG information was available so it may be worth upgrading to a newer Freeview device that supports the now standard 7-day electronic programme guide.

I have a Sony Bravia KDL HD-Ready TV. Since digital switchover the picture keeps breaking up (signal going from high, good, low and back again constantly). I have all Freeview channels but an older non HD Ready TV was working well on existing aerial.
Does this suggest that a HD Ready TV needs a 'better' aerial. My existing one is very old.
Assuming you've not diluted the signal from the aerial by sharing it between more devices the symptoms you describe suggest your reception is a little marginal and that your new HDTV is making higher demands (in terms of signal) on your aerial that your other TV did.
If there's anything you can do to improve the signal level you get from your existing aerial like removing any unnecessary devices/splitters or clearing any obstructions I would do so, but beyond that some adjustment or a more performant aerial my be needed:

Probably your most frequently asked question (with differing geographical parameters):
When is HD transmission expected in the Brighton (postcode BN) area?
Digital-switchover is complete and the five Freeview HD channels should already be available in Brighton and the rest of the Median region. In order to be able to receive them you need a Freeview device that supports Freeview HD as older standard-definition Freeview devices are not able to receive the high-definition channels.

Each time i want to turn on the TV I get a 'No Signal' but on disconnectingthe SCART lead from its socket and then reconnecting it the TV worksperfectly.
I have tried various things - changed the SCART lead, turned the TV offat the remote, at the on/off switch and also disconnected the SCART from theVirgin-box. None of these things has solved the problem, please help.
You have probably already done this but I'll repeat it just in case; you should select the TV's tuner input an turn the TV off. Under normal circumstances the TV should return to the same input when turned on again. If that's not happening you should enter the TV's set up and look for any options that may be the cause of your problems. Is sounds as though your TV is either defaulting to a specific input when powered or or that it's responding to a control signal in the SCART send by another device to swap inputs.
